Court Rules and Regulations

  1. Courts are for the exclusive use of Sycamore Hill HOA residents only.

  2. Courts are only to be used during posted hours.

  3. No alcohol.

  4. No profanity.

  5. No loud music.

  6. No loitering.

  7. No fighting.

  8. No climbing on hoops or fences.

  9. Respect the property of the Clubhouse and the residents around the courts.

  10. Keep the courts clean.

Memorial Day through Labor Day

8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.


  • The basketball courts are for basketball use only.  They are not meant for bicycles, scooters, skateboards, roller blades, etc.  All of these items could potentially damage the courts.  

  • The basketball courts are monitored by video surveillance.  Any damage or misuse of the courts will result in a violation letter sent to the owner.

  • Please use caution, so that you do not hit any parked vehicles with a basketball.  If you do, please report it to the HOA Office at 703-669-2969.


The clubhouse is currently not being used for parties, etc. due to COVID-19.

The five play areas have been opened with new coronavirus guidelines posted at all play areas.  Please read these guidelines before entering the play areas.  The playgrounds are located on Kalmia Square, Pearlbush Square, Golden Larch Terrace, Lilac Terrace, and Tuliptree Square.

Swimming Pool

The year, the pool will be opened in May. 

Pool hours of operation daily, including holidays:    

  • During school – 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

  • After school season – 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.


The Association per the requirements of Phase 3 Forward Re-opening will have the following rules and regulations.  These rules are subject to change at any time throughout the pool season based on Virginia Department of Health and CDC guidelines and regulations and/or Virginia law, or at the discretion of the Board if deemed necessary in the best interest of the community.


  1. Entry to the pool will be only for community residents.  No guests will be permitted.

  2. Anyone with a temperature at or above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or who is experiencing a new cough, shortness of breath or any other COVID-19 symptom will be denied entrance.

  3. The swimming pool will be open for water exercise and free swim.  All patrons not of the same household must remain ten feet apart at all times during Phase Three recovery.

  4. The maximum capacity allowed at the pool will be 50 residents at any given time.  The Board asks residents to limit their time at the pool to allow all residents to enjoy its usage.

  5. No food or drink will be allowed in the pool area or eating area.

  6. All tables (except lifeguard) and pool furniture will be placed in order to reduce large gatherings and maintain social distancing of ten (10) feet.  Please do not move pool furniture and tables.  The addition of extra pool furniture is not allowed.

  7. No pool toys or other objects not used for swim safety are permitted.

  8. Social distancing and other general COVID-19 guidelines such as washing hands, not touching hands to face and wearing masks when not in the water are encouraged.

  9. Residents will still need an updated 2021 swimming pool pass to enter the swimming pool area.  Residents will show their pass; however the lifeguards will not keep the pass(es).

  10. Waivers must be signed upon entry each time you visit the pool for each person (adult, teen or child).


Lifeguards will not be responsible for monitoring resident’s adherence to these temporary policies.


Tennis Court

The Sycamore Hill Community has 2 full sized Tennis Courts available for residents and their guests! The Entrance is located on Lilac Terrace next to the playground.  The courts are locked with a push button access code - you can retrieve the code by contacting the Community Manager at (703) 669-2969 or by email

The tennis courts are for tennis play only and are now monitored by video surveillance.  Any damage to or misuse of the tennis courts will result in a violation letter to the homeowner.  The courts are not to be used for skate boards, bicycles, soccer or other forms of exercise.
